I'm a Lecturer in the Graphic Communication Design programme at Central Saint Martins. A key part of my teaching practice is collectively building tools with students that break down computational concepts. Some of these tools are catalogued here:
Pixel Parser
An online image editing tool made collectively with students that replaces standard image pixels with custom pixel palettes created by the class.

Class LED Screen
To understand how screen technology works, each student constructed one LED pixel. We joined these pixels together to create an 8×8 screen that the class could then program with their own graphics and animations.
Spreadsheet City
A first day of class activity where we collectively build a city in a shared spreadsheet. Each student is assigned a “plot” in the sheet where they design a building to introduce themselves.
